Matching Process
In an effort to try to explain how the matching process will work, because it is hectic and confusing for everyone, I have added this page.
Whenever a puppy or multiple puppies become available, after I complete my evaluations, I begin at the top of my waiting list, and decide if any of the available pups would suit the first family with a reservation, based on the preferences discussed with each reservation. I will offer the potentially suitable pup(s) for decision by the family. Each family can decide to accept an offered pup, or to continue to wait for future options. I'll then move to the second family on the waiting list, with any remaining suitable pup(s) to offer, and so on. Families may be skipped entirely if no pups currently available match their preferences. Any pups remaining available after this matching process is completed will be posted to my available pages, available to families without reservations.
Matching usually begins without warning other than your reservation, though it may be expected in most cases as pups reach between 7-8 weeks age. During this process, waiting families will be expected to respond as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours, with an accept or decline of the puppy offered to them, since every other family is awaiting the answers from those above them before they can be contacted with their options. If a meeting in person is needed to decide if a pup will be accepted, it must be arranged promptly (usually by the upcoming weekend at the most), again, out of courtesy to other families awaiting this decision. If a family does not respond to an offer within the 24 hour window, I may move on to offer pups to the next waiting families and may or may not still have suitable available pups at the time the earlier family is able to respond. Any family so skipped will remain at the top of the waiting list for the next available pups, just as if they had declined the offered pup and asked to continue to wait.
Those families who accept a puppy should expect to arrange to pick up that puppy within one week, or discuss specific alternate arrangements with me - but I do not guaranteed that I can hold the puppy longer than one week awaiting pickup.
